53 pounds of MDMA found in car crossing U.S.-B.C. border
More than 53 pounds of methamphetamines were discovered inside a vehicle trying to cross the border into the U.S. from B.C., according to officials.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found seven packages of the drug — also known as MDMA — inside a hidden compartment of the Hyundai Santa Fe on Saturday.
A statement said the 44-year-old driver and 33-year-old passenger told border officials that they were visiting the states for fun.
