Anthony Gonzalez hauls in more than $600,000 in US House bid

WASHINGTON — A former Ohio State standout has raised more than any other candidate – incumbent or otherwise – in his bid for Congress.
Former Ohio State Buckeye football standout Anthony Gonzalez raised $626,774 last quarter – including $526,774 in contributions. Gonzalez’s campaign has also received $100,000 in loans. He seeks to fill the northeast Ohio seat to be vacated by Rep. Jim Renacci, R-Wadsworth, who is running for governor.
