MOBILE, AL (WALA) -Baseball legend Henry “Hammerin’ Hank” Aaron is being honored in his hometown.
During his baseball career, Aaron played 21 seasons for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves in the National League and two seasons for the Milwaukee Brewers in the American League.
He was honored Monday at a luncheon hosted by the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association.
As a video highlighted Hank Aaron’s record breaking career, the rounds of applause kept coming. The baseball legend was the center of attention, with award after award presented to the home run king.
