Bill proposed by Rep. John Rutherford would provide assistance to veterans looking for work
A proposed bill sponsored by U.S. Rep. John Rutherford would help veterans attempting to transition into the civilian workplace if it’s passed into law by providing funding from the secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Rutherford, R-Fla., announced the Veterans Armed for Success Act at a news conference Tuesday at Operation New Uniform in Jacksonville. The organization trains veterans and their families to develop skills needed for successful careers after military service.
Operation New Uniform would fall under the umbrella of organizations eligible for a grant under the proposed bill.
