Can President Trump, Congress save the vape industry? | Palm Beach Post Health Beat

The burgeoning electronic cigarette and vape industry will press President Donald Trump’s administration as well as Congress to get the Food & Drug Administration to back off regulations announced last year.
The provision says starting in 2018 all vape products going back to 2007 must undergo a vigorous application process which is estimated to cost on average about $1 million for companies. The fee would be the death knell for an industry estimated to be worth as much as $10 billion.
