NEW YORK, United States (CMC) — A Caribbean/American legislator was arrested
on Friday for civil obedience as he protested the inauguration of the new United
States President Donald Trump.
Brooklyn Council Member Jumaane Williams, the son of Grenadian immigrants,
his mother Patricia Williams, as well as other New York elected officials, community
advocates and members of the clergy, were arrested
outside Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan.
