U.S. Rep. James E. Clyburn was the Keynote Speaker at City of Columbia’s Black History Extravaganza, Monday.

“What you and I can do to meet the challenge in education of Black children,” was the subject of Clyburn’s address. He said the theme for Black History Month, nationally, is the “Crisis in Black Education.”
Clyburn is the Assistant Democratic Leader and third-ranking Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
