Cory Booker pushes to block updated Trump travel ban

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and 15 of his colleagues have introduced legislation to block President Donald Trump’s updated executive order on immigration.
The legislation co-sponsored by Booker (D-N.J.), a new member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, would prohibit federal funding to carry out Trump’s order, which banned entry for 90 days from six Muslim countries, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.
