Cory Booker Urges State Democrats To Focus On Values, Get Out The Vote
State Democrats gathered at the Connecticut Convention Center Saturday night for their annual fundraising dinner heard a plea from U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, D-New Jersey, to energize a party that lost the White House and is in the minority in Congress.
The Connecticut Democratic Progress Dinner, which until last year was called the Jefferson-Jackson-Bailey Dinner, also featured speeches by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and both of the state’s U.S. senators, Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy.
“How can we be a country where the minority is winning over the majority on so many issues?” Booker asked the crowd.
