County officials share concerns with revenue, legislation & social media
CLARKSBURG — County officials from around the region said topics covered at the West Virginia Association of Counties annual conference last week will help them tackle issues such as declining revenue, social media in the workplace and the changing political climate.
“Our theme was ‘The Challenge of Change,’ and it covered everything from an influx of new county officials (30 percent change after election), the changing political climate of West Virginia, decreased county revenues and keeping up with technology,” West Virginia Association of Counties Executive Director Patricia Hamilton said.
