Cummings briefed on aerial surveillance, exploring options
U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings said the jury is still out on whether he’ll call for a congressional hearing into the Baltimore Police Department’s aerial surveillance program.
Cummings is the ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He told 11 News on Tuesday that he plans to discuss options with the committee’s chairman.
“I’ll have an opportunity to talk to the chairman of the committee, Jason Chaffetz, and we will try to figure out where we go from here,” Cummings said.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis provided a detailed briefing on the aerial surveillance program to Cummings last Thursday.
