D.C. Celebrates Emancipation Day

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, accompanied by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and others, kicked off the city’s annual Emancipation Day celebration Friday with an in-depth conversation on the city’s statehood bid and the impact of federal gun legislation on the District.
