Democrat Congressman Returns, Again, With ‘Pretty Amazing’ Painting of Cops as Pigs on House Floor
If nothing else, Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO) is persistent. Especially when it comes to a controversial painting depicting law enforcement officers as pigs — which he continues to insist should hang in a tunnel leading to the U.S. Capitol.
The painting, which depicts an officer aiming a gun at a protester in Ferguson, Missouri, was first hung in June, and ultimately removed in February, after a vote by a three-member commission consisting of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
