Embracing a ‘second chance’ at Triton job fair
Doris Watkins, of Chicago, said she came to Triton College on June 15 hoping to find a position that would utilize her clerical skills, honed through years of volunteering.
“It’s so important to give people a second chance, because people change and situations change,” Watkins said.
Approximately 70 employers and 150 applicants attended Triton’s “Second Chance Job Fair.” A Triton news release had indicated the event was “designed to help people overcome their past mistakes and take steps toward a prosperous future.”
