Farm conditions were focus of Booker’s visit to Bridgeton
BRIDGETON — U.S. Senator Cory Booker visited Bridgeton Monday to talk to members of the CATA organization about working conditions in the fields for migrant agriculture workers. Booker spent time talking to workers and members of the group near a community garden.
Booker, along with Cumberland County Freeholder Director Joseph Derella and Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly, listened to stories of some of the workers about their ordeals working in the fields and packing plants in the areas.
