Local Muslim leader kept off plane to Israel for pro-BDS views — Jewish Journal

A Los Angeles Muslim leader was among five individuals who were barred from boarding a flight to Israel on July 23, reportedly due to the interfaith delegation members’ support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Shakeel Syed, a national board member of American Muslims for Palestine, told the Journal that he had his his boarding pass in hand for his Lufthansa flight at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington, D.C., when he was told he could not board the plane due to his being on a no-fly list provided by Israeli authorities.
