Maryland will have two new congressmen following Tuesday’s elections.

Democrat state Sen. Jamie Raskin Republican Dan Cox to win the state’s 8th Congressional District. Raskin, who has represented Montgomery County in the state Senate since 2007, fills the seat vacated by U.S. Sen.-elect Chris Van Hollen.
Raskin won the general election after defeating wine superstore owner David Trone in the Democratic primary in April.
