Navy’s First African-American, Female Boatswain’s Mate Chief Warrant Officer Shares Her Story

Levert is the Navy’s first black female CWO Bos’n, the subject matter expert on all major seamanship functions and the maintenance of topside gear such as; small boat operations, supervising anchoring, mooring, and replenishment-at-sea and the operation and maintenance of the ship’s boats.
