NY Reps. Katko, Maloney aim to boost tick-borne illness research
With increasing Lyme disease and Powassan virus cases, two upstate New York congressmen want to raise awareness about tick-borne illnesses.
A bill introduced by U.S. Reps. John Katko and Sean Patrick Maloney would establish grants for states to set up tick identification programs. The programs would enable people to submit photos of ticks.
