WASHINGTON • Missouri’s U.S. senators differed on President Donald Trump’s actions to peel back Obama administration climate-protection regulations, splitting along party lines on what is likely to be a continuing battle of the Trump years.
Trump, following through on campaign promises, said his administration would have an “immediate re-evaluation of the so-called clean power plan,” which he called “this crushing attack on American industry: open leasing of coal reserves on federal lands; and push more regulatory authority back to the states.
