Protesters fill Columbus airport after Trump immigration ban | The Post
About 1,000 people attended the “Emergency Protest against Trump’s ban on Muslims coming to the U.S.” at John Glenn Columbus International Airport on Sunday, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, and State Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-3rd District, both spoke at the protest.
“We are in the middle of humanitarian crisis created by the President of the United States,” Brown said. “We’re fighting back here in Columbus.”
Brown said President Donald Trump is creating fear among many immigrants in this country – legal immigrants, citizens and people working toward their citizenship.
