Radiologist taking another run at U.S. House seat held by Davis
River Forest physician Jeffrey Leef is hoping the second time is a charm.
A Republican who lost in his 2016 election bid to unseat U.S. Rep Danny Davis (D-IL) by 66 votes, Leef is once again joining the battle for Illinois’ 7th congressional district seat.
“It’s time for Congress to do its job: represent and act on behalf of the public,” Davis said in a press release. “Nothing has changed. I will continue to ask the voters of the 7th district the same question: For at least the past 20 years, what has changed for the better in the 7th district?”
