Some Hoosier lawmakers urge congressional review of further action against Syria

WASHINGTON – Indiana’s federal lawmakers expressed strong support Friday for President Donald Trump’s decision to launch airstrikes against Syria, but some also want the president to outline a more cohesive strategy to address that conflict and warned the White House against taking broader military action without congressional approval.
“The administration should submit to Congress without delay a comprehensive, whole-of-government strategy — working with our international partners,” said GOP Sen. Todd Young, a former Marine who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
