Speakers at BYU religious freedom conference concerned about religious liberty in educational institutions
Religious freedom is a deep human need.
That’s according to Patrick Reilly, president of the Cardinal Newman Society, an organization that defends and promotes Catholic education, who spoke Friday morning to a group assembled at Brigham Young University in Provo.
But what he called the current respite the Trump administration has created for threats on religious freedom is only temporary.
“Today, the threats to religious freedom are serious and what has been a trickle will soon become a downpour,” Reilly said.
