UVU president signs letter urging Utah’s congressional leaders to protect DACA recipients
Utah Valley University’s President Matthew Holland has signed a letter urging Utah’s congressional members to pursue a long-term solution to protect students covered under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The letter, addressed to Sen. Orrin Hatch, Sen. Mike Lee, Rep. Rob Bishop, Rep. Chris Stewart and Rep. Mia Love, was sent Wednesday and is signed by David Buhler, the Utah commissioner of higher education, along with Holland and the presidents of the University of Utah, Utah State University, Weber State University, Southern Utah University, Snow College, Dixie State University and Salt Lake Community College.
