One thing I learned from the dear departed Jimmy Breslin was, there’s no better outlet for outrage than writing. Second best outlet is shouting on a stage.
One black or Latina elected official after another took the latter approach Saturday. They vented the anger of hundreds of thousands of their constituents in Brooklyn and beyond, whose complaints have been yanked from the public screen since the election of Donald Trump. Among the life-and-death concerns: being denied jobs because of racial discrimination, being profiled by police, and — perhaps most widely experienced — being gentrified out of the city.
